Indianapolis businessman and former Hamilton County Councilman Jim Wallace released the following statement today:
“It is with disappointment that I announce I am suspending my campaign for the Republican nomination for Governor."
"After careful consideration of the Election Commission decision last week, it is clear that further efforts to restore our candidacy on the ballot would jeopardize the timely election process with which we sought to comply."
"While we are disappointed with the decision of the Commission, we are proud of our efforts on behalf of Hoosiers, traveling over 71,000 miles, speaking with over 79,000 people, and securing 7,000 signatures for the ballot in the process. Without a doubt, we in Indiana are united by many more things than divide us, and job creation is chief among them."
"I look forward to playing an integral role in the continued development of the Indiana success story.”
